Sundance

On our way home from Midway Swiss Days we decided to go ride the lifts at Sundance. It is great to be able to look over this beautiful place. The colors are already changing, they look awesome. The boys had a great time on the lift. I love the smells from the restaurants and the away from Utah County feeling you get when you go there.

Family . . . its about time

Caught word that my brother and his family drove 4-1/2 hours (290 miles) to go to Park City this Labor Day weekend. I guess it was supposed to be a secret trip because none of us knew. Good thing too because we would have had to drive 45 min. out of our way to go to Park City to see them.

Who really cares about spending time with your siblings once you have your own family and cousins don't need to know eachother right? How unfortunate that a family trip has to exclude family. We (my sisters) would have liked to have seen our nieces and nephews. How sad that they didn't want to see theirs.

Someone is going to hurt me!

Can you guess which one of the Summers siblings turns 40 today, August 29th? That person certainly doesn't look a day older than 34.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!

Gumball Madness!!

This week has been crazy! I received a wild order for my jars and gumballs for a customer who is participating in Swiss Days up at Midway this Labor Day weekend. This picture does not do justice, I had already boxed the other half. We had a lot of fun sampling the rejects.

Big ol' shout out to my sisters Stephanie & Traci for all their help! I would have lost my "gumballs" if they hadn't been around!

Oh, and how can I forget my smokin' hot husband for welding like no ones business. He turned over quite an impressive amount of iron in two days! Thanks honey!!!!!!!

Spiderman drives me crazy!

Well, this is Reiss' favorite shirt. He wears it almost everyday. Just wanted to give you all a heads up because it is going to be in a few photos. Let's be honest, a lot of photos. Sometimes I even hide it after I wash it. But the little red head always finds it, even if it is mixed in with Scott's shirts.

Arrrg! What was the Tooth Fairy thinking?

Caden pulled his second tooth last Tuesday. In his morning prayer he said please let the Tooth Fairy bring me a whistle. Mom, I really really hope she brings me a whistle.

How could she not deliver, it would break my son's heart if he didn't get that whistle. Of course she aims to please the child, not the parents. Good thing she left a set of rules for him to follow. Thanks Flossie (our personal Tooth Fairy).

Kingpin

Well, Caden has decided that it is much more fun to play bowling on Uncle Shane's Wii. You can actually get more stikes that way. He was getting so frustrated that he wasn't getting spares and strikes. I was thinking it was funny, he didn't like that either. Reiss had the best score out of the three of us! Guard rails and the ball guide really helped him out. Caden had the guard rails too, but he dropped the ball more than rolling it. I'm sure they were getting annoyed.

School days, school days, good ol' golden rule days!

Well, it is here! 1st Grade! I admit, I am a little sad about it. He is growing up to fast for me! Having lunch at school, playing at recess with the big kids. Okay, I have to stop thinking about it.
Reiss really wanted to go to school with Caden this year. He found his spiderman backpack and was ready to go. He didn' want to leave when we dropped Caden off. It is his school too!
They are soooooo HANDSOME! Both have a lot of personality! When I picked Caden up after school, I asked him how his first day went. Well, here it is: Mom, I went to the office after lunch and told the lady I missed my mommy and that I was ready to go home, can you call her? My number is xxx-xxxx. That is funny people.
