What I like (love) about my sister

She loves to dust and vacuum! So I like it when she comes over and is bored because my house usually ends up clean! Just wished she did bathrooms! Oh, and Jacks like to mop!

BOO!

Spooky! Here are some of our "All Hallows Eves" pictures. The first few are of Jack & Reiss at Gardners Village. That is such a fun place. Wish I had a few extra $$$$ to pick up on some of those great halloween sales! We trick or treated in Uncle Curtis' neighborhood, but my camera batteries died, so go on over to Traci's blog to check those pics out if you want.

Pic Me! Please!!!

Vanessa was able to get us in for some quality family time. Reiss wasn't completely sold on cooperating, but she did get some yummy shots of him and Caden. Thanks Vanessa, I love the ones I've seen, can't wait to see them all! I have to get a canvas for sure of the boys!

Go on over to Vanessa's site and check them out. Traci and Jack are on there too!

I'm Sorry!

I have been so busy getting orders out and trying my best to run a household that blogging has been last on the list. Note the time this was posted. Scott probably doesn't have confidence in my abilty to run the house anymore, he actually asked me if I was going to have time to do laundry any time soon. Was that a hint? Well, things are not really slowing down. I just have to plan better and priortize. If you want to check out my business site, here it is: www.embellishthehome.blogspot.com

Momma got a backsplash!

Well, Scott has been a little busy but he finally got around to tiling the kitchen backsplash. It took us a while to decide on a pattern/layout. But I love it and it looks great. We still need to grout and seal it. I'll post another when it is all done and my kitchen is clean. So dont be checking back anytime soon.

My Little Entrepreneur

Caden you are awesome.

Last year he made hats and took them around the cul-de-sac to sell. This year it is masks. He cut 24 of them out! And he doesn't sell lemonade or kool-aid, he went healthy and decided to sell orange juice! What an amazing kid. He is so ambitious. My neighbors are great, they all supported him. My sisters even chipped in, thanks! He was so excited when someone bought something. Reiss was on crowd control. : )
In 14 days he told me he is going to sell white rocks! Does that mean diamonds?

Fall Break: Day 3, Picnic up the canyon

Traci ditched me this day.

This was probably the most relaxing day, probably because I had Curtis and Scott to help me out. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The weather, perfect. The boys brought their bikes and scooters.

They were also busy racing sticks and leaves down the river. I was constantly telling them to watch out for Reiss, to make sure he didn't get to close to the river. I guess I should have been telling them to watch out for Daxton, he is the one who fell into the river, just as we were leaving. It was kinda funny. Good thing I had a blanket and Curtis had an extra jacket with him.

Thanks for all the fun boys!

Fall Break: Day 2, Bowling

Not a lot of explanation needed. Traci and I were about ready to lose out minds here. We were spectators for this event. Or should I say therapist? I mean does it really matter who bowled the highest? We didn't think it did, but apparently it matters . . . a lot. On the up side Reiss and Jack had a fairly good time.

Fall Break: Day 1, Pumpkin Patch

I really don't understand UEA, we never had anything like that in Kansas. Well, anyway, its a way to spend more time with my fabulous kids. We had Daxton and Cale stay a few days with us so we could get some cousin time it too, because that just doesn't happen enough. (j/k) The first day we drove to Santaquin and went to the South Ridge Farms to the pumpkin patch. Why drive all that way? Certainly not for the pumpkins, I can get those at Wal-Mart. We go for the apple cinnamon DONUTS!! duh. Just look at Reiss' face, they were so yummy!

Finally, I got asked out!

Well Scott, you snooze, you lose! I had a very handsome and charming YOUNG fella ask me out on a "gate". Hello, how often does that happen to me? Like never! So I talked it over with Scott and he felt comfortable with it so I said YES! With chilvery to match to no other, I was won over by this guy. He opened doors, complimented me several times, had great conversation and even paid! He took me to the place with grapes on the sign : ) (Olive Garden) I will go out with you again anytime Caden. Please stop growing up so fast!

A sign of things to come?

Caden brings home books to read and we are supposed to sign off on them afterwards. One day, being the thoughtful child that he is, he said, "mom i signed it for you and saved you time. That was nice of me wasn't it?" He genuinely thought, I'm going to help mom out by doing this. I had a little laugh with it. Oh, it brought back wonderful memories of high school, sitting in the basement practicing my own parents signatures. Not to toot my horn, but I was pretty good at it. Thanks Caden, but don't make this a habit!

Reiss has a new best friend . . . and it's not me

Yes, it is true. He no longer longs for me. Reiss now only wants Nana. He needs her, he loves her, he wants her all the time. We have to call her various times throughout the day so he can talk to her. Nana is his gurl. Momma not his gurl, just Nana is his gurl. Is she aware that she is stepping onto my territory? Oh, I failed to mentioned that he told me I'm not his momma, Nana is his momma? He cried in the car for over an hour the last time we left their house and he even had to sleep with Nana and Papa. Whatever. It's cute now. I'm sure he'll want me back someday.

HOTWHEELS!! Beat that!

Okay, so both my boys love hotwheels and play it on the computer . . . sometimes. Reiss and I went to get the tires rotated today and he was digging the wheels and tires. Then he found the hotwheels rim. Wouldn't I be the coolest mom if I got those?

Is this tire really big or is my child exceptionally small?

Just another Home Depot run

A little shy at first. Had to hide behind the Hershey bar!

Warming up!

Just loving it!

I want that truck Mommy!

Well, you don't get to see NASCAR everyday at Home Depot. Reiss thought it was pretty cool. The guy said he could get in the drivers seat, but Reiss got scared of him and didn't. Oh well.

OMG!! Traci sent this to me a while ago. I gave myself a great ab workout while I was laughing. It is right on.

Sorry, I tried to download the youtube to my site. I'm not doing something right. I'll work on it.

Love It!

Woman arrested in argument over dog waste

September 8th, 2008 @ 12:44pm
(KSL News)

A fight between neighbors over dog waste lands a woman in jail.

Salt Lake police say a man got upset after his neighbor refused to clean up after her dog.

Police spokesperson Lara Jones said, "The victim got tired of this woman allowing her dog to relieve itself on his lawn, so he gathered up the excrement and put it on her porch."
Jones says the woman got angry, pulled out a folding knife and attacked the man. He wasn't seriously injured.

Sylvette Davis was booked for aggravated assault.
I love the fact that this man had enough and did something about it. If you want some fun reading, click on the link and read the comments. Dog owners: People do not want your dogs **** in their yard! Keep it in your own yard.

Yee Haw!

Scott & the boys had quite a harvest of grapes, corn and sunflower seeds. Here is just a sampling. Scott planted the sunflowers for me in honor of my home state, KANSAS! GO HAWKS. The boys love spending time in the garden with Scott. I am sure that Scott loves all the extra help too!

Why didn't he put them in their overalls and cowboys hats? =)

Sundance

On our way home from Midway Swiss Days we decided to go ride the lifts at Sundance. It is great to be able to look over this beautiful place. The colors are already changing, they look awesome. The boys had a great time on the lift. I love the smells from the restaurants and the away from Utah County feeling you get when you go there.

Family . . . its about time

Caught word that my brother and his family drove 4-1/2 hours (290 miles) to go to Park City this Labor Day weekend. I guess it was supposed to be a secret trip because none of us knew. Good thing too because we would have had to drive 45 min. out of our way to go to Park City to see them.

Who really cares about spending time with your siblings once you have your own family and cousins don't need to know eachother right? How unfortunate that a family trip has to exclude family. We (my sisters) would have liked to have seen our nieces and nephews. How sad that they didn't want to see theirs.

Someone is going to hurt me!

Can you guess which one of the Summers siblings turns 40 today, August 29th? That person certainly doesn't look a day older than 34.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!
