12 Days of Christmas

December 16th 2009

We did the 12 Days of Christmas this year. The boys really thought this was fun. Getting to open something every morning for 12 days sounded good to them.

Freezing our buns off!

The boys running through the revolving door at the Joseph Smith Building.

December 15th 2009

We decided to go up to Temple Square and see the lights. We got there earlier enough to watch the lights being turned on. Even though it was freezing we had a good time.

Over the Hill

December 10th 2009
Although we had a little party on the 5th, we still had to have one on his actual birthday. It was a great excuse to make another delicious bundt cake.

Good Friends

December 9th 2009

Reiss & Jack can be great friends but also pretty onery to eachother. This is at Traci's

house. Yep, it's December and they decide that they needed to wear shorts. These two emptied out Jacks drawers and put all the clothes in that blue tub. So the toys were ALL OVER the room. It was such a mess. This photo is during clean up. Look at those faces, we were laughing, how could we be upset. It was kinda cute. Folding all the clothes, not so fun.

Naughty or Nice?

I just love this picture of Jack grabbing his hair. Funny kid!

I think this is where he was being asked if he has been good.

December 6th 2009
We are so lucky that every year Santa pays us a little visit! The kids love it! We do too!

Caden's Baptism

On the way to the stake center. Isn't he good looking?

Ryan & Jackers wanted to be in our family photo. I love those kiddos!

Don't you like that Halo over Scott head?

Caden was so sweet & shared his special day with his dad. We had a little surprise 40th birthday party for Scott. He was completely caught off guard. I think he enjoyed it. Can't believe I married an old man! Just kidding. (my kitchen is a mess!)

December 5th 2009
My not so little boy made the big choice to be baptised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are so proud of him and his choice. He was nervous about his interview, but he did great. I was pleased to know that he does listen in church and to what we teach him. It was such a special day. He was so excited to get "dunked". He said that after being baptised and confirmed that he felt happy and light, which I think was the Holy Ghost testifying to him that he had made the right choice. It was great that our families and friends came to support Caden. I know that he will always remember this special day.

Oh, wait, we got a dog

November 27th 2009

While in Vernal the boys and Scott were out playing football when a dog wondered up to them. Reiss of course is a little nervous about it but Caden starts playing with him and Scott thinks we need to take care of it. We can't take it to the humane society because it's Thanksgiving and it's closed so Scott keeps it in the garage. The boys are begging to keep him. Excuse me, I'm pregnant and taking in a pet right now is the furthest from my mind. I mean I would have to be out of my mind. So that Saturday Scott and the boys take him in, mind you they have somewhat bonded with this dog and named him Max. The humane society employee said that this dog is in all the time and the owner can't afford to get him out again. Scott told them that we wanted him if the owner was unable to care for him. They had to leave "Max" there while the owner was contacted. While they were waiting they came home, the boys were sad and in tears. They really wanted this dog. It's a black mini schnauzer. Okay, so I gave in and now we have a dog named Max. I'll have to take a picture and post it.

Vernal Holiday Festival (i think thats what it was)

November 27th, 2009

We went to Vernal for Thanksgiving. They had this festival going on all day. There were activities to do everywhere all over town. It was pretty fun and the boys had a great time. It was cold but they loved it. You could roast marshmellows, chestnuts, drink hot chocolate, eat cotton candy and other stuff for free. Then in the evening they had a night parade.

Decorating the tree

November 2009

We acutally put the tree up right before Thanksgiving this year. Crazy I know, but it was just one of those things I wanted done. When we came home from my parents it was nice to walk into a Christmas ready house. The boys put most of the ornaments up (I only had to re-arrange a few).

Oops!

November 2009

My friend backed out of our drived way (no not the same one who took out our mail box) and accidently hit the tricycle. No, there were not any children around thankfully. Our next door neighbor, Stan, took it and give it new life! The boys love it. It's now a Big Wheel Radio Flyer. : )

Baby Shower

November 21st, 2009

Well, that's all I can show you because whoever had my camera didn't take any pictures. I'll have to see if my mom has some on her camera. Sweet Suzie had baby shower for me at her home. The guests were great and the food was fabulous and the gifts were perfect. Seriously, why did Traci have to stand sideways? It only makes me look bigger.

In A Galaxy Not So Far Away . . .

November 14th, 2009

I can't beleive that my little boy is turning 8. Caden wanted a Star Wars birthday. He is really into the Lego Star Wars stuff. They had a great time. It is sometimes hard to tell what the weather is going to be like for his birthday, last year it was great for his ToonTown birthday. So we set up an entire padawan training course outside and then it started to rain and snow. We had to gather everything up and set up in the garage. Dax was really braved and played the role of Darth Vader, the boys had a great time defeating him.
Here is the wording on his invitation:

“IN A GALAXY NOT SO FAR AWAY,

New room for the boys

November 8th - December 12th, 2009

Since our new addition will be here soon, we needed to move the boys over to the slightly larger room. Here are the before and after photos. I really like how it turned out and the boys really enjoy their new space. I still have to get pictures on the walls. One day . . .
