Fresh from Heaven

Getting ready for baby girl!

I have no idea what those numbers are.

I had the best nurses! They were fun and I'm so glad I had her before their shift was over.

Meeting Papa for the first time, love at first sight! My mom had just left the day before, so I felt a little bad calling her at 7:00 am this morning telling her she needed to come back.

First bath. That's never fun.

Tuesday January 19th 2010

When we arrived at the hospital we were in the Triage for awhile before a room became available. I guess a lot of babies were thinking the 19th was a great day to be born.

After I finally was in a room they put me on pitocin to start the contractions. Since I was having a v-bac they couldn't let me progress to quickly. At one point they said my contractions were to strong so they lowered the pitocin, which incidentally made the contractions almost stop completely. That sucked because we had to build them back up again. I was getting pretty frustrated towards the end. I was starving and getting irritated that there wasn't any progression. Finally, I was complete and ready to go. I labored for 12 hours to get that little girl in my arms.

First, you have to understand that she was our "surprise" baby. I really wasn't emotionally or mentally prepared for another child. Not to mention I was having a girl! I definetely was not prepared for that. If I was having another, I wanted another boy. I worked through it though. : )

When they handed her to me I was just amazed with her. She just looked at me for the longest time. Oh, and she had red hair! I thought for sure she was going to have dark brown hair so that really took me by surprise. She is absolutely PERFECT!!!
I am so in love with her, smitten by her. So glad I have a little girl!

Just before . . .

Leaving for the hospital!
Jack was just as excited!

Tuesday, January 19th 2010

As I was getting in bed after one of my many bathroom visits during the night I said, "baby girl, January 19th would be a great birthday". Well she listened and my water broke about 6:30 am Tuesday. I was SO EXCITED to get this started! I had actually felt things starting on Sunday so I knew it was going to be real soon. I called Traci and she and Jack came right over to get Caden off to school and to watch Reiss.

Story Time

January 14th 2009

Reiss & Jack went to storytime this winter and the theme was "Mudalicious". It was about all things food. They had treats afterwards that coencided with one of the stories. It was super cute and they liked it alot. I had know idea how many little children's stories there was about food. They even go to make stone soup!

Baby Girls Room

Hum, which color do I choose?

Yeah, I know I need to iron the curtains. Just wanted to get the picures done. Plus I still need to get the sassy red tie backs up. Reiss wanted to be in all the pictures. Silly boy!

January 5th 2009

Here are the before and after. Yes, we painted our girls room blue, Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue to be specific. I LOVE her room. I LOVE her bedding. I LOVE the RED chandlier. I'm so excited that bedding can grow with her because it comes in twin size too! The bedding is from Colalo. I still have to put things upon the wall but it's so hard to do after you just painted to put a hole in the wall. I just noticed that I need to take some update pics of her room, I'll try do that.
I think it turned out just perfect for our little peanut!

I got married . . . again & again!

January 3rd 2010
My boys are so darn precious. They always tell me that they're going to marry me. Reiss usually tells me "we are gonna get married tomorrow." When he's mad at me he tells me that he isn't going to marry me. So after church Reiss asked me if we could go to the temple and get married. I said sure. So we headed up to the Mount Timpanogos Temple and Scott said some funny things and I guess we got hitched!

Happy B-Day TJ

We do love our Traci Jo! We hope this year brings you much happiness!

Good Riddance

January 1st 2010

For the most part I hated 2009. I'm so pleased that you are over and out of my life. You have caused me much heartache, anger, doubt, depression, frustration and basically just whole lot of negative. I would like to think that I dealt with it gracefully so if I ever have to face things like this again I guess at least I know I can do it.

New Year's Eve

December 31st 2009

Well we didn't really do to much. Scott took the boys sledding up at Traverse Mountain and I sat in the car. Reiss doesn't really enjoy sledding, he would rather just run around and play in the snow. Caden loves it! He is daring though and like to go down steep runs.

That night I think I slept through ringing in the new year, pregancy does that to you.
